What is a Notary Public & Notary Signing Agent
A Notary Public is a public official who serves as a witness of the signing of important documents and verifies the identity of a person who signs the document.
A Notary Signing Agent is also a Notary Public who has been specifically trained to handle loan documents. Lenders and title companies hire Signing Agents as independent contractors to assist in the last step of the loan process.
